River Yeo
Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning.
River levels are rising on the River Yeo at Pen Mill gauge as a result of heavy overnight rainfall. Flooding is expected from 10:00 AM on 30/09/2024.
Areas most at risk include Weir Bridge near Limington to Langport including farms around the A303, Long Load, Withmoor Drove, Crouds Lane, Upton Bridge Farm, Pibsbury, Huish Episcopi, Portland Road, Courtfield and Huish Farm area near Langport.
Further flooding is expected this morning as river levels are rising due to heavy rainfall. The weather is forecast is for drier and more settled conditions from Tuesday for a few days. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and checking rivers for blockages. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
