Areas most at risk include the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. The detailed tidal information for those who use it is for a peak level at Avonmouth Please note the high tide on Monday evening is not forecast to meet the Flood Alert threshold. The forecast high water is at 08:30 AM on 09/04/2024 with a level of 8.26 mAODN with westerly force 6 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level - for more info refer to local tide tables.) Our incident response staff are closing flood gates and checking defences. We continue to monitor levels closely. Large and powerful waves, with associated sea spray, are expected as a result of high tides and continuing strong winds. Forecast high water is 09:30 on 20/2/22 with a level of 7.33 mAOD and a Force 7 Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth, mAOD is height above average sea level; for more detail refer to local tide tables. Flooding to roads and seafront properties is possible at these times, however, conditions may apply one to two hours either side of the high tide. We expect flooding to affect the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. Strong winds are forecast to continue until after the high tide at 10:15 on 21/2/22, but no further flood warnings are expected. Our incident response staff are checking flood defences and we continue to closely monitor the situation. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads, and stay aware in case further warnings are issued. The combination of spring tides, a large tidal surge and strong winds may result in waves overtopping sea defences. The forecast high water is 21:30 on 07/12/21 with a level of 7.4 mAOD and a Force 8 South Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth and mAOD is height above average sea level. For more details, refer to local tide tables. As a result, the flooding of the most vulnerable properties is possible at these times and may be at risk one to two hours either side of the high tide. Flooding is possible on the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closing flood gates. This flood warning is unlikely to be reissued again during this period of spring tides. Flooding to roads, farmland and properties is likely due to forecast conditions, however conditions may apply one to two hours either side of high tide. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. We are closely monitoring the situation. Flooding to roads, farmland and properties is likely due to forecast conditions, however conditions may apply one to two hours either side of high tide. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. We are closely monitoring the situation. High spring tides combined with a tidal surge and strong winds may lead to overtopping of sea defences. However, the forecast tide height is predicted to be lower than those reached on Wednesday evening. Forecast high water is 21:30 on 12/03/20 with a level of 8.21 mAOD and a Force 7 West South Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth, and mAOD is the height above average sea level. There is the possibility of flooding to the most vulnerable seafront properties for the coast between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. Properties at risk include Green Beach and the Amusement Arcade on Elton Road and the recreation ground behind Marine Lake. This flood warning is not expected for any future tides but a flood alert may remain in force. We have operational gangs on the ground to monitor the tides and any impacts. Please be careful along beaches, promenades and coastal footpaths and roads.

All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth. mAOD is height above average sea level. There is the possibility of flooding to vulnerable seafront properties at these times for the coast between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. Properties at risk include Green Beach and the Amusement Arcade on Elton Road and the recreation ground behind Marine Lake. Coastal conditions for this flood warning are not currently expected to continue beyond tonight’s high tide, but we will keep reviewing the situation. We have operational gangs on the ground to monitor the tides and any impacts. Please be careful along beaches, promenades and coastal footpaths and roads.

Recent strong winds and tidal surge have reduced in intensity but this spring tide sequence will continue to impact the North Somerset coastline until Wednesday 12/02/20. First high tide is 21:15 on Tuesday 11/02/20 with a level of 8.0m AOD and a Force 6 Westerly wind. Second high tide is 09:30 on Wednesday 12/02/20 with a level of 7.96m AOD and a Force 4 Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water at Avonmouth. Spray overtopping of sea defences is possible one to two hours around these times. Flooding may affect the coastline from Gullhouse Point to Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. Vulnerable sea front properties may be affected by conditions during these high tides as the forecast winds remain very changeable. Our incident response staff are monitoring the local situation carefully. Stay aware in case a further warning is issued. Spray overtopping of sea defences is possible around this time, however conditions may apply one to two hours either side of the high tide. Flooding may occur around the time of high water for the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. Vulnerable sea front properties at the Beach and Marine Parade may be affected by conditions during these high tides. First high tide is 19:30 on 09/02/20 with a level of 7.48m AOD and a Force 8 West South Westerly wind. Second high tide is 08:00 on 10/02/20 with a level of 7.55m AOD and a Force 6 Westerly wind. Tide times are in local time and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth. Flooding may occur around two hours either side of the high tide for the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. Vulnerable sea front properties at the Beach and Marine Parade may be affected by conditions during these high tides.
