High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding tomorrow morning. Flooding is expected from 07:00AM to 08:00AM on Saturday 06 December 2025. Flooding is forecast to affect areas along the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade, including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it is for a peak level at Avonmouth of 7.59 mAODN at 07:30AM on Saturday 06 December 2025, with Force 7 Westerly winds. We are closely monitoring the situation . We are checking flood defences. Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. This message will be updated by 1:00PM on 06 December 2025 or as the situation changes.

Areas most at risk include the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. The detailed tidal information for those who use it is for a peak level at Avonmouth Please note the high tide on Monday evening is not forecast to meet the Flood Alert threshold. The forecast high water is at 08:30 AM on 09/04/2024 with a level of 8.26 mAODN with westerly force 6 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level - for more info refer to local tide tables.) Large and powerful waves, with associated sea spray, are expected as a result of high tides and continuing strong winds. Forecast high water is 09:30 on 20/2/22 with a level of 7.33 mAOD and a Force 7 Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth, mAOD is height above average sea level; for more detail refer to local tide tables. Flooding to roads and seafront properties is possible at these times, however, conditions may apply one to two hours either side of the high tide. We expect flooding to affect the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. Strong winds are forecast to continue until after the high tide at 10:15 on 21/2/22, but no further flood warnings are expected. Our incident response staff are checking flood defences and we continue to closely monitor the situation. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads, and stay aware in case further warnings are issued. The combination of spring tides, a large tidal surge and strong winds may result in waves overtopping sea defences. The forecast high water is 21:30 on 07/12/21 with a level of 7.4 mAOD and a Force 8 South Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth and mAOD is height above average sea level. For more details, refer to local tide tables. As a result, the flooding of the most vulnerable properties is possible at these times and may be at risk one to two hours either side of the high tide. Flooding is possible on the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closing flood gates. This flood warning is unlikely to be reissued again during this period of spring tides.
