Historical Flood Warnings for this Area

Flood Warning issued on 11 Mar 2020 20:10
Bristol Channel
High spring tides and a tidal surge may lead to overtopping of sea defences. Forecast high water is 20:45 on 11/03/20 with a level of 8.57 mAOD and a Force 6 South Westerly wind. The second high water is 09:00 on 12/03/20 with a level of 8.56 mAOD and a Force 5 West South Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth and mAOD is height above average sea level. The forecast tide level is predicted to just reach the threshold warning level and there is the possibility of limited flooding to the most vulnerable and low-lying properties, roads and land. This could include the Marshalls Field area to Fosseway and Churchill Avenue to the east to Old Church Road to the north including Strode Road and Tweed Road Industrial Estate. We have operational gangs on the ground to monitor the tides and any impacts. Please be careful along beaches, promenades and coastal footpaths and roads.
