Flooding to roads and farmland is forecast at these times, conditions may apply one to two hours either side of the high tide. There is a possibility of flooding for coastal and tidal areas at Minehead, Combwich, Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Uphill, Weston-super-Mare, Kewstoke, Sand Bay and Kingston Seymour. Conditions are expected to continue until after the high tides at 21:30 on 21/08/20 at Minehead. We are closely monitoring the situation and closing flood gates. The current spring tide sequence continues and is forecast to reach flood alert at Minehead this evening, Thursday 21/02/2019, and again tomorrow morning, Friday 22/02/2019. Overtopping and onshore flooding may occur as a result of high water levels, affecting low lying land and roads. We are closely monitoring the situation and our staff are checking defences. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, harbours and coastal routes. Keep up to date with weather and tide conditions on local media. The time of the first high water is 20:25 today and the time of the second high water is 08:43 tomorrow. The wind is forecast to be Force 3 this evening and Force 4 in the morning, and from a generally Southerly direction. The spring tide high water levels will peak tomorrow morning and we will be updating this tidal flood alert each day.
