River levels have risen at the Cheddleton river gauge as a result of the persistent heavy rainfall from Storm Dennis. Consequently, the flooding of property is expected to continue. Further potentially heavy rainfall is forecast throughout Sunday, 16/02/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated in the afternoon, 16/02/20, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen at the Flint Mill Cheddleton river gauge as a result of the persistent heavy rainfall from Storm Dennis. Consequently, the flooding of property is expected imminently. Flooding is affecting roads and properties on parts of the Cheadle Road to the north of the River Churnet, parts of Station Road and Churnetside Business Park areas. Further, potentially heavy, rainfall is forecast through to midday today 16/02/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. River levels are high but steady at the Flint Mill Cheddleton river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding is affecting roads and properties on parts of the Cheadle Road to the north of the River Churnet, parts of Station Road and Churnetside Business Park areas. We do not forecast the situation to deteriorate any further. No further rainfall is forecast. We are closely monitoring the situation.
