River Churnet
River levels have risen at the Flint Mill Cheddleton river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property and farmland is expected today Monday, 06/01/2025. We expect flooding to affect roads and properties on parts of the Cheadle Road to the north of the River Churnet, parts of Station Road and Churnetside Business Park areas. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please avoid contact with flood water and call 999 if in immediate danger. This message will be updated by Monday afternoon on 06/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
