Strong winds and spring tides may cause large waves, and spray overtopping on the coast. Areas most at risk are around Southwold Harbour, Ferry Road, the bottom of Queens Road and Constitution Hill, North Road, the bottom of Pier Avenue and Mights Road in Southwold. Bridge Road and Hillside Road in Reydon. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Lowestoft of 2.20mAODN at 11:45pm today, Thursday 19th December, which is 1.17m above tide tables, wind Force 6, North Westerly. (mAODN is height above average sea level, for more info refer to local tide tables). The current series of high spring tides and surge has now reached its peak, and will fall away over the next few days. Tides are expected to be higher than usual, due to the forecast weather conditions. Areas most at risk are around Southwold Harbour, Ferry Road, the bottom of Queens Road and Constitution Hill, North Road, the bottom of Pier Avenue, and Mights Road in Southwold. Bridge Road and Hillside Road in Reydon are also at risk. The detailed forecast, for those that use it, is for a peak level at Lowestoft of 2.12 mAODN at 8:00pm today, Wednesday 24th January, which is 1.29m above tide tables, wind Force 5, westerly. Areas most at risk are around Southwold Harbour, Ferry Road, the bottom of Queens Road and Constitution Hill, North Road, the bottom of Pier Avenue, and Mights Road in Southwold, and Bridge Road and Hillside Road in Reydon. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Lowestoft of 2.17 mAODN, at 3am on Friday 22nd December, wind Force 7, westerly. Tides are expected to be higher than usual, due to the forecast weather conditions. Areas most at risk are around Southwold Harbour, Ferry Road, the bottom of Queens Road and Constitution Hill, North Road, the bottom of Pier Avenue and Mights Road in Southwold; also Bridge Road and Hillside Road in Reydon. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Lowestoft of 2.21 mAODN at 5.15pm today, Thursday 21st December, which is 1.48m above tide tables, wind Force 7, North-Westerly. The tide on Friday 22nd December at 3am is only currently forecast to be a Flood Alert; we will send a new message before that tide. The detailed forecast is for a peak level at Lowestoft of 1.63 mAODN at 7:45pm, Saturday 29th, which is 0.91m above tide tables, wind Force 6, north-westerly. mAODN is height above average sea level. Areas most at risk are around Southwold Harbour, Ferry road, the bottom of Queens Road and Constitution Hill, North Road, the bottom of Pier Avenue and Mights Road in Southwold. Bridge Road and Hillside Road in Reydon. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Lowestoft of 2.18mAODN at 10:15am, on Monday 10th February, which is 1.19m above tide tables, wind Force 8, WSW. (mAODN is height above average sea level, for more info refer to local tide tables). High water at Southwold will be around 1 hour later.
