This message has been issued because of the steady rainfall today, Monday 2nd April. This means that we are currently seeing higher river levels than normal in the Blyth catchment, particularly around Halesworth. The forecast is for no significant rainfall on Monday evening into Tuesday. We are expecting river levels to slowly fall over the course of the next 24 hours. There is the possibility of some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside gardens. Take care on riverside footpaths and don't put yourself in any unnecessary danger. The forecast is for continued rain until midday. We are expecting river levels to respond to further rainfall throughout Monday morning. This means that we are currently seeing higher river levels than normal in the area around Holton. The forecast is for no significant rainfall in the next 24 hours. We are expecting river levels to remain high, but soon start to slowly recede in the River Blyth downstream of Holton.
