Flooding to property is still possible today, 18th November 2022. No further significant rainfall is forecast and we expect river levels to begin falling during today. River levels are falling in the Peeks Brook Lane area but remain high near Bonehurst Road as a result of heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours. Flooding to property is still possible overnight tonight, 17th November 2022 and into tomorrow, 18th November 2022. No further significant rainfall is forecast, and we expect river levels to begin falling overnight. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond if required. River levels in the Burstow Stream are high but beginning to fall as a result of the heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours. We believe there is continued possibility of flooding for properties this morning, 17/02/20, particularly those on Peeks Brook Lane and properties on and near Lake Lane. The river level has peaked overnight and is now falling, we expect the risk of flooding to properties to stop by late morning or early afternoon on Monday, although river levels will remain high in the coming days with some further rain showers forecast. We continue to monitor the situation closely from our incident room. Our incident response staff have been operating our defences and structures and are prepared to respond if required. Please avoid contact with flood waters and remain aware of your conditions locally. This message will be updated or removed by 2pm today, 17/02/20.
