The River level peaked at Leatherhead at 3:00am today, 17/02/2020, and has since continued to fall but river levels remain high, therefore the Flood Warning for River Mole at Leatherhead and Fetcham remains in force. The peak level recorded at Leatherhead was higher than the peak level recorded in December 2019. Further rainfall is expected in the next few days but it is not expected to cause any property flooding. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and clearing trash screens. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. River levels on the River Mole in the Leatherhead area remain high as a result of heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours. We believe there is continued possibility of flooding for properties this afternoon, 17/02/20, particularly for properties around Thorncroft Drive. River levels in the Leatherhead area have now peaked and we do not presently expect the flooding situation to worsen. Flooding to properties could continue throughout the afternoon today, whilst river levels will be higher than normal over the coming days with some further rain showers forecast. Our incident response staff remain in the area monitoring our temporary defences in Leatherhead and working with our partners. Please avoid contact with flood waters and remain safe in areas near the River Mole. This message will be updated or removed by 10pm today.

River levels on the River Mole in the Leatherhead area remain high as a result of heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours. We believe there is continued possibility of flooding for properties this morning, 17/02/20, particularly for properties around Thorncroft Drive. River levels in the Leatherhead area are now peaking and we do not presently expect the flooding situation to worsen. Flooding to properties could continue until the afternoon today, whilst river levels will be higher than normal over the coming days with some further rain showers forecast.
