Flood Warning Info - River Mole at Sidlow, Leigh and Betchworth

River levels remain high but steady as a result of heavy rainfall over the past 36 hours. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties on and around Reigate Road at Sidlow. No further significant rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high overnight into Monday morning, 17/02/2020. Our incident response staff are actively monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond if required. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 17/02/2020, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible between 4 pm and 11pm today, 16 February 2020. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties on and around Reigate Road at Sidlow, near the river. Flood water could be deep and fast flowing and therefore pose a risk to life. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 15 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until the afternoon on 17 February. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and liaising with emergency services and our partners. Please avoid contact with flood water and remain safe in the area of concern and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers.
