River levels have continued to rise at the Little Alne river gauge as a result of the heavy rainfall today, Friday 20 December 2019. Consequently, flooding of property is possible. No further heavy rainfall is forecast only showers this evening and over the weekend. We expect river levels to remain high and continue to rise with the rain today. The level at the Little Alne river gauge is expected to peak at between 2.84 and 2.94 metres later on this evening. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow, 21 December 2019, or as the situation changes.

River levels previously rose in this area due to persistent heavy rainfall on 14 November 2019, which resulted in flooding of property, roads and farmland. The weather outlook is now improving and these levels are falling, but they will remain high for at least the next 24 hours. At this time, we are not expecting any further flooding but continue to monitor the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens and actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please stay aware in case any further warnings are issued and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may still be flooded. This message will be updated later this morning, 15/11/19, or as the situation changes.

Flooding is affecting properties on The Mill Industrial Park and around Arden Road, Springfields Road, School Road, Moorfield Road, Fairwater Crescent to St Mary's Road, Oversley Green, Mill Lane, Arrow Court & Arrow Mill. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and clearing weed screens. River levels have risen at the Little Alne river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property/roads and farmland is expected/possible between 08:30 and 15:00 today, 13/06/19. River Arrow and River Alne at Alcester and Oversley Mill. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to rise until noon on 13/06/19. We are closely monitoring the situation. Rainfall is currently clearing the catchment of the River Arrow and River Alne and no further rain is expected today. The River Alne is peaking and will start to recede through this afternoon into this evening. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in all these areas. Heavy and persistent rain is currently falling in the catchment of the River Arrow and River Alne and will continue throughout the early hours of Wednesday 27 December. The River Alne is reacting to the rain on an already saturated catchment and may possibly continue to rise through this morning. If levels continue to rise this may lead to properties and low lying areas around Alcester flooding later today between 6.30am and 7.30am. Further flood warnings may be required for this area. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in all these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
