River Alne
River levels have continued to rise at the Little Alne river gauge as a result of the heavy rainfall today, Friday 20 December 2019. Consequently, flooding of property is possible. No further heavy rainfall is forecast only showers this evening and over the weekend. We expect river levels to remain high and continue to rise with the rain today. The level at the Little Alne river gauge is expected to peak at between 2.84 and 2.94 metres later on this evening. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow, 21 December 2019, or as the situation changes.

River levels previously rose in this area due to persistent heavy rainfall on 14 November 2019, which resulted in flooding of property, roads and farmland. The weather outlook is now improving and these levels are falling, but they will remain high for at least the next 24 hours. At this time, we are not expecting any further flooding but continue to monitor the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens and actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please stay aware in case any further warnings are issued and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may still be flooded. This message will be updated later this morning, 15/11/19, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen at the Little Alne river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected imminently, 14/11/19. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and clearing weed screens. Consequently, flooding of property/roads and farmland is expected/possible between 07:30 and 15:00 today, 13/06/19. River Alne at Chapel Lane and Church Lane in Aston Cantlow and Great Alne Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to rise until noon on 13/06/19. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast and liaising with emergency services. Heavy showery banded rain has fallen in the catchment of the Rivers Arrow and Alne. River levels have reacted to the rain on an already saturated catchment and may continue to be high through to the early hours of tomorrow morning, Sunday 1 April 2018. No rainfall is forecast for today and tomorrow. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in all these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day and this message will be updated as the situation changes.

The River Alne is reacting to the rain on an already saturated catchment and may possibly continue to rise through this morning. If levels continue to rise this may lead to properties and low lying areas around Island Meadow Caravan Park and Aston Cantlow flooding later today between 3.00am and 5.00am. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in all these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day and this message will be updated as the situation changes.

The River Alne is reacting to the rain on an already saturated catchment and may possibly continue to rise through this morning. If levels continue to rise this may lead to properties and low lying areas around Aston Cantlow flooding later today between 5am and 6am. Further flood warnings may be required for this area. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in all these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
