River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours. Flooding of properties is possible on and around Lee Street and Church Road, near the river. No further rainfall is forecast over the next 8 hours and we expect river levels to remain high throughout Thursday 17/11/2022. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and call 999 if in immediate danger. Our incident response staff are actively monitoring the situation and are out clearing debris and blockages from the river. This message will be updated by 8pm on Thursday 17/11/2022, or as the situation changes.
