River Arun
The River Arun is high and rising near Pulborough, following Thursday's rain. Flood water could affect properties at Pallingham Lock from 10:00 05/01/2024. The river could also affect the A272 Newbridge road near Billingshurst. Flood water will continue to affect isolated mill properties, fields and roads between Broadbridge Heath and Loxwood, but river levels here are now slowly falling. Very little rain is forecast for the next five days. The river should begin to fall by 20:00 05/01/2024 near Pallingham Quay, where minor flood impacts could remain through the weekend. The river should return nearer to normal by Saturday near to Broadbridge Heath, but not until next week nearer Pulborough. Flood protection products are recommended to be installed in Wanford, if you have them. Our automatic sluice at Wanford is open as far as possible to help reduce the risk of flooding. River Arun
The River Arun is high and rising. 35mm of rain has been recorded at Itchingfield, in only a few hours Thursday, which is a lot in a short period of time. From 06:00 05/01/2024 flooding will affect isolated mill and farm properties between Broadbridge Heath and Pallingham Quay. Water will also be extensive in fields, on rural roads and in gardens. The A272 Newbridge road near Billingshurst could be affected by flood water. Locations nearer Pulborough such as properties at Pallingham Lock will flood from 12:00 05/01/2024. Very little rain is then forecast from Friday daytime through to next week. The river should begin to fall by 11:00 05/01/2024, near Broadbridge Heath, but not until Saturday nearer Pulborough. Flood protection products are recommended to be installed in Wanford, if you have them. Our automatic sluice at Wanford is open as far as possible to help reduce the risk of flooding. River Arun
River levels are still high on the Arun, but are now falling between Broadbridge Heath and Pallingham. Flood impacts will continue to affect properties, roads, gardens and fields, Including mill buildings and properties near the River in Broadbridge Heath, Wanford and Pallingham. Please take care in and around flood affected areas, flood water can contain hidden dangers. Only isolated showers are expected until Thursday 20/2/2020. These showers are unlikely to cause river levels to rise significantly, if at all. River levels may not return to normal until Monday evening in the upper reaches, or Tuesday afternoon 18/2/2020 for Newbridge and Pallingham. Please keep flood protection products installed. Our automatic sluice at Provender Mill is operating to help reduce the risk of flooding through Horsham. We will update this message by 11:00 18/2/2020.

River Arun
Water levels in the River Arun are high and rising steadily following 50 mm of persistent rain since Saturday 15/02/2020. This is a significant amount in a short period of time. From 18:00 this evening 16/02/2020 isolated flooding impacts are expected to affect a small number of properties (Isolated mill buildings and properties close to the River Arun). Broadbridge Heath, Wanford and Pallingham may experience flooding to land and maybe buildings. Rain is expected tomorrow 17/02/2020 but is not expected to increase water levels. The river will peak by 23:30 tonight 16/02/2020, returning to normal by Monday afternoon 17/02/2020. Flood protection products are recommended to be installed in Wanford, if you have them. Our automatic sluice at Wanford is open as far as possible to help reduce the risk of flooding. This message will be updated by 20:00 17/02/2020.
