River levels in and near Pulborough will stay high for most of Sunday 8/3/2020, but are slowly falling. Water will affect fields, roads, gardens and be close to properties near to Swan Bridge. Rain Sunday morning was less than predicted and the few showers Sunday 8/3/2020 will not cause river levels to rise. Rain predicted for Monday 9/3/2020 and the rest of next week is not currently thought enough to affect water levels on the lower Arun significantly. Water levels at Pulborough could fall for the rest of the week. However tide levels at Littlehampton will continue to rise until Thursday 12/3/2020. Peak water levels after every high tide will be close to the tops of the banks and affecting communities, in Houghton Bridge from Sunday evening 23:00 8/3/2020, and in Arundel from Wednesday 11/3/2020. Arun
River levels in Pulborough remain very high, but are slowly falling. Flood impacts will continue to affect fields, gardens and roads. Potentially until the weekend. River levels in Amberley will also remain high, cause minor flood impacts and be close to properties. But water levels should be lower than recent days, all this week. Tide levels will stay relatively low for a fortnight, which means we do not expect water levels in Arundel to be of concern. Periods of rainfall are expected Wednesday and Thursday 20/2/2020. Relatively small amounts in comparison to Storm Dennis (10mm compared to 50mm), but may still be enough to cause river levels to rise slightly and extend the duration of minor flood impacts until the weekend. Please continue to keep flood protection products installed, if you have them. Our pumps in Pulborough continue to operate to reduce risk of flooding. We will continue to monitor river levels and forecasts. We will update this message by 11:00 20/02/2020.

Please keep flood protection products installed, if you have them. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will update this message by 11:00 19/2/2020.

The tide in Littlehampton Wednesday evening should be 20cm lower than Wednesday morning, but with high river flows coming down the Arun from Horsham, peak levels in Arundel will stay high until Friday 29/11/2019. Minor impacts could be observed in Arundel for two hours after 01:30 and 13:45 on Thursday 28/11/2019. Water will be close to affecting those properties currently with a lower standard of protection on River Road Arundel. Small amounts of water will be forced up through drains on River Road too. Tide levels should fall the rest of the week and less rain is forecast on Thursday and Friday. This should allow water levels in Arundel to fall. We continue to monitor the forecast. In order to reduce impacts, we have deployed sandbags to residents in River Road. At River Road, please ensure flood protection is in place before the times suggested above. Avoid walking through flood water as it may conceal hidden hazards. We will update this message by 11:00 28/11/2019.
