This flood warning remains in force following rainfall on Friday night (21/02/20) and Saturday morning. The current river level at Otley is 1.75m and the level appears to be at its peak. We expect levels to fall throughout Saturday morning (22/02/20). Areas of concern are the riverside properties between Otley and Pool, and Billam's Bridge is closed. Further bands of rainfall are expected over the coming days and river levels are expected to rise and fall. This flood warning has been issued due to quickly rising river levels in response to rainfall on Friday (21/02/20). The current river level at Otley is 1.1m and is expected to peak at a level of 1.8m at approximately 5am on Saturday (22/02/20). Areas of concern are the riverside properties between Otley and Pool. Further bands of rainfall are expected over the coming days and river levels are expected to rise and fall. This flood warning remains in force for the River Wharfe at Billams Hill and riverside properties between Otley and Pool due to heavy rain associated with Storm Ciara. Widespread heavy rain on Sunday 09/02/20 has caused rivers and watercourses to rise. The level on the River Wharfe at Otley is now peaking at around 1.9m and is forecast to begin falling overnight. We are monitoring the situation closely. Our Incident Room is open, and operational staff have been out clearing trash screens. We will update this message in 8 hours or as the situation changes.

We are issuing the flood warning for the River Wharfe at Billams Hill and riverside properties between Otley and Pool due to heavy rain associated with Storm Ciara. Widespread heavy rain overnight on Saturday and continuing on Sunday morning, 09/02/2020, is causing rivers and watercourses to rise. The level on the River Wharfe at Otley is now 1.3m and is forecast to continue to rise, reaching 1.6m at about 13:00 hours this afternoon. Properties on Bridge Avenue may begin to flood at this level. The Wharfe at Otley is currently forecast to peak at 1.85m at about 17:00 hours this afternoon. We are monitoring the situation closely. River levels rose as a result of heavy rainfall on Saturday 16.03.19. The level at Otley is falling and will continue to fall throughout Sunday morning. We expect to be able to remove this flood warning on the morning of Sunday 17.3.19. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are monitoring the forecast.
