The area most at risk is Cottingley, including Beckfoot School on Wagon Lane, Ash Grove and Aire View Avenue.
Flooding of property is expected from approximately 12:00 PM today, 20/10/2023. Further rainfall is forecast throughout today and through the weekend.

Further showery rainfall is forecast over the next few days although this is not expected to have a significant effect on river levels. We continue to monitor the situation. River levels are rising as a result of persistent (heavy) rainfall. This rain is forecast to continue through much of today, Sunday 20th February.
Levels at Cottingley Bridge are forecast to rise though the morning and peak mid-afternoon today. Area of concern include the area around the Bradford and Bingley Sports ground. We are monitoring the situation closely.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland remains possible in the early afternoon today, 16/02/20, although the period of greatest risk has passed.

River levels peaked at 14:00 on Sunday 09/02/2020 and have been falling very slowly through this afternoon. Levels are forecast to continue falling through Sunday evening and Monday morning. This warning currently remains in force as levels are still high. The area most at risk is around the Bradford and Bingley Sports Club. High winds and further showers are forecast this evening and into Monday, 10/02/2020, but we do not anticipate any significant river response.
