River levels have fallen on the River Aire at Castleford including the Aire and Calder Navigation, Navigation Road, Lock Lane, William Street, Hunt Street, Mill Lane, Aire Street, Water View and Weir View. These are expected to continue to fall through the night and into Sunday, 22/10/2023. Further flooding is no longer expected in this area. We continue to closely monitor this situation. River Aire
River levels remain high on the River Aire at Castleford including the Aire and Calder Navigation, Navigation Road, Lock Lane, William Street, Hunt Street, Mill Lane, Aire Street, Water View and Weir View due to persistent rainfall. Flooding in areas adjacent to the river is still possible through out today, 21st October 2023 and into the evening. Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation.
