River levels remain high on the River Aire due to persistent heavy rain yesterday, Friday 20th October. Flooding is still possible and areas most at risk are locations near the River Aire, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Leeds including Neptune Street and British Waterways car park. Levels are expected to go down into Saturday morning.
Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions and consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.

Rainfall is expected throughout today, Friday 20th October 2023, and river levels are expected to remain high.
Areas most at risk are locations near the River Aire, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Leeds including Neptune Street and British Waterways car park.

River levels remain elevated following Storm Ciara. Whilst further scattered showers are forecast over the next 24 hours, we do not expect a significant river level response. Be aware that flooding may still affect roads and low-lying land. We continue to monitor the situation. Our incident response staff are checking the condition of defences. River levels on the River Aire through Leeds remain elevated following Storm Ciara. Whilst further scattered showers are forecast throughout the rest of today, 10/02/20, we do not anticipate a significant river level response. Be aware that flooding may still affect roads and low lying land.

A further heavy pulse of rain has caused a sharp river response so property flooding is possible over the next few hours of this morning into early afternoon, 09/02/20. Areas most at risk are properties on Neptune Street. We expect river levels to continue to rise into early afternoon Sunday. We are closely monitoring the situation from our incident room.
