River levels remain high in the Upper River Aire catchment as a result of recent heavy rainfall and further rain fall overnight and into the morning of Saturday 7 December. River levels remain elevated and are expected to rise this morning, Saturday 7 December but are not currently expected to be as high as levels reached late on Thursday.
Further rainfall and strong winds associated with Storm Darragh are forecast through Saturday into Sunday 7 December, which will likely cause further river response. We do not currently expect to issue flood warnings in the Upper Aire catchment over the weekend, but rivers will be responsive to the further periods of rainfall.
A Flood Alert remains in force and flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, therefore please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses. Stay well away from swollen watercourses over the weekend, due to the additional hazard of gale force winds. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.

River levels remain high in the Upper River Aire catchment as a result of heavy rainfall on Thursday afternoon. Levels have been dropping through today, Friday 6th December, and water has been draining out of Cononley washlands.
Further rainfall and strong winds associated with Storm Darragh are forecast from Friday and through Saturday into Sunday, which will likely cause further river response. We do not currently expect to issue flood warnings in the Upper Aire catchment over the weekend, but rivers will be responsive to the further periods of rainfall. Stay well away from swollen watercourses over the weekend, due to the additional hazard of gale force winds.

No further significant rainfall is expected overnight and into Friday morning, therefore levels are expected to steadily fall. However, further rainfall and strong winds associated with Storm Darragh are forecast from tomorrow afternoon and into Saturday which will likely cause further river response.

River levels are rising in the Upper River Aire catchment as a result of heavy rainfall through the afternoon and into the night of Thursday 5th December 2024. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible over the next few days. Areas most at risk include the River Aire from Gargrave to Stockbridge, including Eshton Beck, Eller Beck and Silsden Beck.
Further rainfall as well as strong winds are forecast associated with Storm Darragh on Friday and Saturday. This could cause river levels to remain high for several days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

River levels remain high in the Upper Aire catchment following widespread heavy rain and snowmelt associated with Storm Bert over the weekend. Levels have been slowly falling at Gargrave through Sunday afternoon however levels remain high in Kildwick area and Cononley washlands are full. The main areas of rainfall have now moved away and river levels should steadily start to fall overnight and through Monday, November 25th.
Areas most at risk at flooding are low lying land and roads near rivers. There may also be surface water flooding affecting low spots on local roads. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will be out checking our flood defences tomorrow, Monday 25th November.

River levels will potentially peak in Kildwick late on Saturday. There may also be surface water flooding affecting low spots on local roads in areas affected by the heaviest rain. Levels may fall somewhat going into Sunday morning, however further rainfall is expected on Sunday 24 November 2024 with additional impacts possible.

Levels may fall somewhat going into Sunday morning, however further rainfall is expected on Sunday 24 November 2024 with additional impacts possible.
Flooding is possible near the River Aire, Eller Beck, and Waller Hill Beck, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. We are closely monitoring the situation and our Area Incident Room will be open through the weekend. This flood alert remains in force due to high river levels following a period of heavy rainfall overnight. River levels on the River Aire and its tributaries between Gargrave and Keighley are expected to fall through today, Thursday 17th October 2024, however flood water is likely to affect low lying land and farmland in the Skipton and Cononley area.
No further significant rainfall is expected on Thursday or Friday, but rivers will be responsive to further rain forecast over the weekend.
Stay aware of your surroundings and do not walk or drive through floodwater. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.

Heavy rain is expected this evening, Wednesday 16th October and into the early hours of Thursday morning. River levels are expected to rise in response to this rainfall, peaking in Kildwick area around 5 a.m Thursday morning, while smaller becks such as Eller Beck and Waller Hill Beck will respond much more quickly. There may also be surface water flooding affecting low spots on local roads in areas affected by the heaviest rain. Levels are then expected to fall going into daylight hours Thursday, with the heaviest rain having moved away.
Flooding is possible near to the River Aire, Eller Beck, Waller Hill Beck, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.

After a period of heavy rainfall yesterday, 22/05/2024. River levels on the Eller Beck and Waller Hill Beck have now returned to normal levels after peaking overnight. River levels at Earby remain high but have peaked and are continuing to fall. No further rainfall is forecast today (23/05/2024).
Areas most at risk include the River Aire from Gargrave to Stockbridge, including Eshton Beck, Eller Beck and Silsden Beck. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.

This alert has been issued on the forecast of tonight’s rain, Thursday 04/04/24. This rain will move across our catchments from the southwest, starting Thursday evening and continuing into Friday morning, 05/04/24. With catchments still wet, we expect to see a response in the river overnight with levels rising through the night before beginning to peak during the morning.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Aire, Eller Beck and Waller Hill Beck, with low-lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around The River Aire from Gargrave to Stockbridge, including Eshton Beck, Eller Beck and Silsden Beck. We currently expect the washlands on the upper River Aire to start to fill overnight.

The threshold for expected flooding impacts is forecast to be reached towards midnight. These impacts are forecast to affect locations near the River Aire, Eller Beck, Waller Hill Beck, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around The River Aire from Gargrave to Stockbridge, including Eshton Beck, Eller Beck and Silsden Beck. Rainfall is forecast to continue into the night of the 17/02/2024, then subside as we move into the early morning of the 18/02/2024. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Therefore risk of flooding of low lying-land, particularly around Kildwick, remains possible and this Flood Alert remains in force.

Standing water remains in several locations next to the watercourses between Gargrave and Stockbridge, with low-lying land most affected.
