River levels between Ferrybridge Lock and Beal have been falling today, Wednesday 3rd January 2024, and continue to fall overnight. River Levels at Chapel Haddlesey are beginning to slowly fall and should continue to fall over the coming days.

River levels between Ferrybridge Lock and Beal peaked overnight and are forecast to fall throughout the today, 03/01/2024, and tomorrow. River Levels at Chapel Haddlesey are still peaking but should soon start to drop off and fall over the coming days.
Despite further unsettled weather on Wednesday and Thursday, with showers at times, we are not expecting any further significant river response. We will continue to monitor rainfall and river levels closely.

River levels are expected to peak overnight tonight today and will remain high throughout Thursday 28/12/2023.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Aire, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around River Aire from Ferrybridge to Chapel Haddlesey.

Consequently, flooding of farmland and low-lying roads is possible from this evening (Sunday 20/02/2022) and into tomorrow, 21/02/2022, particularly in the lower reaches of the Lower Aire. Washlands such as Kellington Ings and Birkin Holme are likely to be filling. We do not anticipate further significant rain over the next 24 hours and expect levels to remain fairly steady at Beal overnight. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast.
