A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Baleshare. The prevailing weather forecast, along with very high tides means that flooding from the sea is expected. The Baleshare causeway is at risk of being flooded; to find out if the road and causeway are closed please follow the Western Isles Police twitter feed https://twitter.com/WIslesPolice. Flooding is also possible to low-lying land, roads and properties either side of the causeway on Baleshare and Clachan na Luib. Gale Force West winds also means that waves may cause wave and spray impacts. The highest risk is either side of the high tides, which at Balivanich are on 20/02 at 08:15 GMT. Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property. Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188.
