The prevailing weather forecast, along with very high tides and waves means that flooding from the sea is expected Storm Ashley. Gale Force Westerly winds also means that a combination of wave overtopping, spray and debris may result in the closure of the Berneray Causeway. Flooding is also possible to low lying land, roads and buildings including Polacher on Berneray and at Port nan Long. Gale force winds also mean that a combination of wave overtopping, spray and debris may result in the closure of the Berneray Causeway. Flooding is also possible to low lying land, roads and buildings including Polacher on Berneray and at Port nan Long.

The prevailing weather forecast, along with high spring tides means that flooding from the sea is possible. Near gale force southerly winds also means that a combination of wave overtopping, spray and debris may result in the closure of the Berneray Causeway. The highest risk is either side of the high tide, between 0600 and 0730 GMT on Wednesday morning. Further flooding is possible during the evening high tide and on Thursday.
