Eriskay Causeway
A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Eriskay Causeway.
The prevailing weather forecast, along with very high tides, storm surge and waves means that flooding from the sea is expected. Strong southwesterly winds also means that a combination of wave overtopping, spray and debris may result in the closure of the Eriskay Causeway. To find out if the road and causeway are closed please follow the Western Isles Police twitter feed https://twitter.com/WIslesPolice. Flooding is also possible north and west of the causeway to low-lying land, roads and properties including Polacher, West and East Kilbride. The highest risk is either side of the high tides, which at Castlebay are on Saturday 1st at 17:00 GMT.

The highest risk is either side of the high tides, which at Castlebay are
on Sunday 28th at 19:00 BST and Monday 29th at 07:30 BST.

spray and debris may result in the closure of the Eriskay Causeway.
