River levels are high but steady at the Amesbury river gauge as a result of the ground being saturated and reacting to rainfall. We expect flooding to affect tributaries between Upavon and Salisbury. Further showers are forecast over the next 24 hours, with more heavy rainfall forecast for thursday 20/02/20. River levels can rise very quickly in response to heavy rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.

River levels have risen at the Amesbury river gauge as a result of Storm Dennis. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible today and tomorrow, 18/02/20. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for tributaries between Upavon and Salisbury
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in contact with community flood wardens and volunteers.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and stay aware in case further warnings are issued.

River levels are forecast to rise along the Upper Avon. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for tributaries between Upavon and Salisbury. This is in response to the heavy rainfall forecast with Storm Dennis this weekend which will be falling on saturated ground. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
