River levels remain high but are continuing to fall at the Bradford on Avon river gauge as a result of the rainfall from Storm Dennis over the weekend. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. We believe there is still a possibility of flooding for properties at the Bullpit in Bradford on Avon. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have erected temporary flood barriers at Bradford on Avon and have been in contact with community flood wardens and volunteers. Please can owners with property flood resilience equipment install it now and stay aware in case further warnings are issued. River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Bradford on Avon river gauge as a result of the rainfall from Storm Dennis over the weekend. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties at the Bullpit in Bradford on Avon. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. River levels are slowly continuing to fall tonight 17/02/20 but be aware be aware river levels still remain high and we believe there is still a possibility of flooding for properties at the Bullpit in Bradford on Avon. River levels are forecast to peak at the Bradford on Avon river gauge at midday today, Monday the 17/02/2020 as a result of heavy rainfall received this weekend from Storm Dennis. Be aware river levels still remain high and we believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties at the Bullpit in Bradford on Avon. This flood warning will remain active throughout today Monday the 17/02/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. River levels have risen at the Bradford on Avon river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall over the weekend associated with Storm Dennis. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties at the Bullpit in Bradford on Avon. We are closely monitoring the situation. River levels are currently forecast to peak at 3am on Monday 17/02/20. Please can owners with property flood resilience equipment install it now and stay aware in case further warnings are issued. The River level peaked earlier today and is now steady at Bradford on Avon as a result of previous persistent heavy rainfall. Further rainfall is forecast overnight on 15/10/2019 but no heavy bursts are expected. With the ground remaining wet and other river tributaries draining into the area this may cause the river level to rise. Low lying property, land or roads may be affected. The Holt Road at Staverton may be impacted. The temporary demountable flood barrier will remain in place today and will be reviewed on Wednesday morning. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are working with the Bradford on Avon Community Emergency Volunteers. Please contact your insurance company if you've been flooded and take photographs of any flood damage. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 116/10/2019, or as the situation changes.

Bristol River Avon
The river catchments have reached saturation and the river at Bradford on Avon is beginning to rise again slowly after a brief period of levelling off. A further band of rainfall is forecast this afternoon on Monday 14/10/2019. This will cause the river to respond but no properties are forecast to flood today or tomorrow but low lying land or roads may be affected. The Holt Road at Staverton may be impacted. There is some uncertainty in the weather forecast for the location and tracking of intense localised showers but these are forecast to move northwards overnight. The temporary demountable flood barrier will remain in place today and Tuesday morning. The river level is forecast to peak at around 06:00 hours on Tuesday 15/10/2019. The Environment Agency Incident Management team are monitoring the actual river level and we will update the message as the situation changes.

Recent heavy and persistent rain fall has resulted in high river levels which are continuing to rise we expect to meet flood warning levels later this evening (13/10/19) in to the early hours of Monday morning (14/10/19) before dropping back. Further rain is forecast tomorrow ( 14/10/19) afternoon into the evening, which maybe locally heavy there is some uncertainty in the location and timings. Demountable temporary barriers are currently being deployed in Bradford on Avon. We are monitoring the weather forecasts and how this may further impact rivers. We will update this message as the situation changes.
