We expect river levels to remain high until later today on 27/12/2020.We are closely monitoring river levels and the weather forecast. Our incident response staff have been clearing weed screens. River levels are forecast to rise at the Fosseway river gauge. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible between 01:00 and 08:00 tomorrow, 15/01/20. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Westport Bridge, The Maltings, St Johns Bridge, St Johns Street, Inner Silk Mills and The Mulberries. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels can rise very quickly in response to heavy rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and stay aware in case further warnings are issued.
