River Severn
River levels have risen at the Kempsey Yacht Club river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is expected. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around Clifton and Severn Stoke. Predicted Peaks:- Saxons Lode 4.9m to 5.2m Monday evening, Kempsey Yacht Club 6.9m to 7.1m Monday morning 28/10/2019. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and clearing weed screens. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Be prepared to move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated by 10am on 28/10/19, or as the situation changes.
