River Coquet
High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight and into tomorrow morning due to Storm Darragh. Flooding is expected when river levels are at their highest from 07:00 AM on 08/12/2024. Areas most at risk include Felton Mill and Station Cottages. Although the rain will ease overnight, river levels will remain high throughout Sunday morning. We are closely monitoring the situation. Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so. Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties. River Coquet
River levels are remaining high on the River Coquet due to heavy rainfall. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Areas most at risk include Felton Mill and Station Cottages. River levels are forecast to begin falling during the night, starting around 11:00PM on the 20/10/2023, but the risk of flooding remains in the meantime.
