River Rede
River levels have risen on the River Rede as a result of heavy rainfall and snow melt. Consequently, flooding is possible between 22:15 tonight, 15/02/2020, and into Sunday. Areas most at risk are properties near Otterburn Bridge, Mill House and Brownchesters, in Otterburn. As well as White Acre, The Close, Bridge End, Brae Well Close and Redeside in West Woodburn and Redesmouth Mill in Redesmouth.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the weekend. We expect river levels to remain high over this period.
We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking defences.

River Rede
River levels on the River Rede at the Otterburn and Rede Bridge river gauges remain high but are predicted to begin to fall overnight. This flood warning remains in place but it is expected to be removed tomorrow.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
We are closely monitoring the situation.

River Rede
River levels are rising at the Otterburn Mill river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall overnight. Further rainfall is forecast this morning and we expect river levels to peak between 11:00 and 15:00 today, 09/02/2020. We expect property flooding with areas most at risk around Otterburn Bridge, Mill House and Brownchesters, in Otterburn. As well as, White Acre, The Close, Bridge End, Brae Well Close and Redeside in West Woodburn and Redesmouth Mill in Redesmouth.
We expect river levels to remain high until later on this afternoon, 09/02/2020. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. We are closely monitoring the situation.
