Great Stour, Stour
The tidal alert remains in force. A level at Grove Ferry of 2.34m Ordnance Datum was recorded at 04:15 this morning, on 3 May. The next high water levels are not expected to coincide with high tide in the early hours of the morning at approximately 02:15 at Dover and at 04:15 at Grove Ferry. River flows are falling on the tidal Great Stour. We are continuing to operate Stonar Cut to help alleviate high water levels in the Tidal Stour.  We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message on Friday morning.

The tidal alert remains in force. A level at Grove Ferry of 2.36m Ordnance Datum was recorded at 04:15 this morning, on 3 May. The next high water levels are next expected to coincide with high tide this afternoon at approximately 14:00 at Dover and at 16:00 at Grove Ferry. River flows are falling on the tidal Great Stour. We are continuing to operate Stonar Cut to help alleviate high water levels in the Tidal Stour.

The tidal alert remains in force. A level at Grove Ferry of 2.36m Ordnance Datum was recorded at 15:15 this afternoon, on 2 May. The next high water levels are next expected to coincide with high tide overnight at approximately 02:15 at Sandwich and at 04:15 at Grove Ferry. River flows are starting to fall on the tidal Great Stour. Levels at Fordwich will also remain high following heavy rain last Monday 30 April. We are continuing to operate Stonar Cut to help alleviate high water levels in the Tidal Stour.

The tidal alert remains in force. A level at Grove Ferry of 2.34mOrdnance Datum was recorded at 03:30 on Wednesday 2 May. The next high tide is forecast at 15:35 this afternoon. Predicted levels are forecast to be in excess of 2.35metres Ordnance Datum. Levels at Fordwich will also remain high following heavy rain last Monday 30 April. We continue to operate Stonar Cut today.

River levels in the Lower Stour will remain high overnight into Wednesday 2 May. Stonar Cut has been operated today. Flooding of low lying land is possible but flooding of property is not expected. This message will be updated Wednesday morning.

River levels at Grove Ferry peaked at 2.29mAOD overnight and following from today’s lunchtime high tide are expected to exceed this during the early afternoon. We operated the gates at Stonar Cut to help reduce river levels, and expect to do so again later on Tuesday. Flows in the River Stour are increasing, and flooding of low lying land is possible, particularly in the Grove Ferry area. We do not expect any flooding of properties, but will continue to monitor the situation. We will update this message on Tuesday evening.

River levels at Grove Ferry peaked at 2.93mAOD overnight. We operated the gates at Stonar Cut to help reduce river levels, and expect to do so again later on Tuesday. Flows in the River Stour are increasing, and flooding of low lying land is possible, particularly in the Grove Ferry area. We do not expect any flooding of properties, but will continue to monitor the situation. We will update this message on Tuesday afternoon. The astronomical high tide at Dover is 3.20mAOD at 12:45 British Summer Time. A surge of approximately 0.17m is also forecast.

Flows in the River Stour have increased following significant rainfall during Monday 30 April. No further rain is forecast overnight but levels in the Stour at Fordwich will continue to rise. Flooding of low lying land is possible, particularly in the Grove Ferry area. Flooding of property is not expected at this stage. The astronomical high tide at Dover is 3.08m Ordnance Datum at 0030 British Summer Time. A surge of approximately 0.4m is also forecast. Predicted level at Grove Ferry is approximately 2.4m Ordnance Datum.
