River levels across the Rother catchment remain high throughout this evening. River levels in the Burwash area have peaked and have started to fall slowly. Levels in Etchingham will peak at approximately 18:00 this evening, Sunday 2 December. Levels are expected to peak in Robertsbridge later this evening. No further rainfall expected this evening. Another short and possibly heavier band of rain is expected across the area from around 09:00 tomorrow morning, Monday 3 December which could keep river levels high throughout Monday. We do not expect the situation to deteriorate any further and property flooding is not expected. We are monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling the area and removing any debris and blockages from the watercourse. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. We will either update this message or remove this Flood Alert tomorrow morning.

River levels in the Rother catchment are rising in response to rainfall overnight. Flooding of roads and farmland is expected from approximately 12:00 today, 02/12/18. We believe there is a possibility of flooding on low lying land and roads close to the river, particularly in the area around Crowhurst Bridge and Shrub Lane. River levels through Burwash, Etchingham and Robertsbridge will also be high, but are not expected to be out of bank. We do not currently expect property flooding. No further rainfall is forecast today which will allow river levels to start falling later this afternoon. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling the area and removing any blockages and debris from the watercourse caused by strong winds. This message will be updated this afternoon, 02/12/18, or as the situation changes.

River levels across the Rother catchment remain high in response to heavy rainfall overnight. Further rainfall is expected from around 6pm this evening, which could be heavy at times. This rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise further. Flooding of roads and farmland is expected overnight and in to tomorrow, Friday 30 November. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for low lying land and roads close to the river, particularly in the Crowhurst Bridge area and Shrub Lane. We do not expect the situation to deteriorate any further and property flooding is not expected. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling the area and removing any debris and blockages from the watercourse caused by strong winds. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. We will either update this message tomorrow morning or if the situation changes.

River levels are currently high following rainfall overnight last night. Further rainfall is forecast overnight tonight, which will cause levels across the Rother catchment to rise early tomorrow morning. As a result of this heavy rainfall, flooding of roads and farmland is expected tomorrow morning, Thursday 29 November. There is a possibility of flooding on low lying land and roads close to the river in the Crowhurst Bridge area and around Shrub Lane. Flooding of properties is not currently expected. We expect river levels to remain high throughout the day tomorrow and begin to gradually fall later in the day. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff will be patrolling the area. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, Thursday 29 November, or as the situation changes. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water.

River levels in the River Rother peaked overnight, and will fall through the day on Tuesday. Some ongoing flooding of low lying land and roads is expected, but property flooding is not expected. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message on Tuesday morning.

River levels in the upper Rother catchment are now at the peak following heavy rain on Monday 30 April. No further rain is forecast today or on Tuesday 1 May. Levels should begin to fall in the upper catchment but will continue to rise between Etchingham and Robertsbridge overnight. Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible overnight. Flooding of property is not expected at this stage. We will continue to monitor river levels and update this message if the situation changes.

River levels on the Rother are rising again in response to persistent rainfall overnight and during today, Monday the 30th of April. Flooding of low lying land and roads is likely in the rural areas around Crowhurst and Etchingham. Water levels are expected to peak later this evening and overnight into Tuesday the 1st of May. With some intense rainfall continuing throughout today, surface water flooding in localised areas is also possible. The heavy rain should ease and clear eastwards during Monday evening leaving a largely dry day on Tuesday. Please be careful in areas close to the river channel and be aware of your surroundings. We have staff monitoring river levels closely and will update this message later this afternoon.

Further rain is forecast throughout Monday and is not expected to clear until Tuesday 1 May. Flooding of property is not expected at this stage. Further isolated heavy showers are possible this evening but it is expected to be largely dry overnight. Flooding of low lying land around Crowhurst Bridge, Etchingham and at Robertsbridge is possible overnight into New Year's Day morning. Further heavy showers are possible during the day tomorrow, Monday 1 January. Please be careful in areas close to the river channel and be aware of your surroundings. River levels on the Rother will remain high throughout the day today, Sunday 31 December, in response to rainfall seen overnight and this morning. Further showers are passing the area later today and overnight. This will be sufficient to maintain high river levels and could cause some minor flooding of low lying land around Crowhurst Bridge and Etchingham adjacent to the river. Please be careful in areas close to the river channel and be aware of your surroundings. We have staff monitoring river levels and will update this message this evening, 31 December 2017.

We expect to see another band of rain pass over the area tonight and into Sunday 31 December which could cause river levels to rise once more. River levels on the Rother have risen quickly today in response to heavy rainfall seen this morning, Friday 29 December 2017. River levels will remain high throughout this evening and with further rainfall forecasted for tonight, river levels will remain high into Saturday 30 December, peaking during the morning. Flooding of low lying land and areas close to the river channel is expected, however property flooding is not expected at this time. Please remain safe in the areas of concern. We have duty staff constantly monitoring river levels and have staff ready to remove any blockages which may occur in the river channel. This message will be updated on the morning of Saturday 30 December or sooner if conditions change.

River levels on the Rother have risen in response to the rainfall seen today, Wednesday 27 December, and will continue to remain high throughout this evening and into Thursdayday 28 December. We are continuing to monitor the situation, but with a dry day forecasted for Thursday 28 December, we anticipate river levels falling to a more normal level by Thursday evening. Friday 29 December and into the weekend may see further showers and we will monitor the situation closely and re-issue flood alerts if necessary. This message will be updated on the morning of Thursday 28 December.

River levels on the Rother are high in response to heavy rainfall overnight. Further rainfall is expected this morning which will clear through the afternoon. River levels will remain high throughout the day, with levels on the Rother expected to peak at approximately 11am at Crowhurst Bridge, 2pm at Etchingham and 4pm at Robertsbridge. Thursday will be more settled but further rain is expected later this week. We are monitoring the situation closely and we do not currently expect property flooding to happen.
